Part of our “Steal This Look” Series where we break it down and find a way to make it work for you, for less.
When looking at Pottery Barn lighting, it’s clean and simple lines, modern and shabby-chic designs, and simple one to two finishes. Recently the catalog has incorporated more of the retro-industrial styles that Restoration Hardware is known for.
The catalog of lighting includes everything from pendants to flushmounts, table and floor lamps, scones and chandeliers, Lanterns, bath and outdoor lights! After all, good looking light fixtures are the cornerstone of great interior design.
And if you’re into the DIY lighting project, try your hand with a mason jar pendant. Grab as many of these antiqued cords as you’d like lights in your pendant, and thread them through your old mason jar lids, and attach to ceiling with one retro canopy cover or a proper scaled piece of rustic wood. You can find fancier cords for more of course, but if you stick with these, a 5 jar lamp will run only you $60 with your own jars and wood.
Remember, DIY might save you money, but you’re really trading your time (& cut fingers) for money! If done well though, you earn the praise and envy of your friends and followers!
